Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord - storyline and your mission
The mechanics of Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord does not differ much from what we could see in previous installments of the series. Players are once again taken to the land of Calradia, but this time the action takes place 200 years before the events known from theWarband expansion. The storyline revolves around a civil war between three factions - the last ruler of Calradia hasn't left a heir. Local bandits, mercenary groups, or hostile tribes also join the ongoing conflict. However, the game's plot serves only as a background, as players write their own stories. Bannerlord allows you to join one of the available factions, loot villages as a wanted criminal, or even create your own kingdom.
The game mixes the elements of strategy games and action-RPGs. The gameplay is divided between two modes - world map and combat. In the world map mode, the players travel the world, recruit soldiers, trade, or conduct diplomatic negotiations. The battle mode is used to portray skirmishes, battles, or castle sieges.
